Who should attend?

Any beginner or intermediate photo enthusiast wanting to learn more about photography.

Who should not attend?

Spouses, friends, children, co-workers or anyone NOT interested in photography. “What Makes Me Click?” photo safari workshops are designed for teaching photography topics. Persons not interested in photography will probably be bored.

What topics will be covered?

Here are a few things that will be covered in a photography workshop:

  • Things to do to get maximum sharpness.
  • How to frame your picture.
  • Composition guidelines.
  • How to exposure lock your camera for lighting challenges.
  • What is fill-flash?
  • How to take interior photos without a flash.
  • How to take portraits in the sun …in the shade.
  • How to stop action.

Do I need a digital camera for the workshop?

No, any camera will be fine for the workshop, you will learn techniques that can be applied with any camera.

What do I need to bring?

You will need your camera, film, media cards or back up, batteries, and a tripod (if you have one). DSLR users should bring lenses from 20mm to 200mm. Point and Shoot camera users should know how to operate your flash and white balance. Film Camera users should bring extra film ISO 200 to 400.

These things are suggested, but not required. Please contact safari guide with any questions about any photo workshop.

  • If you have a SLR camera, bring lenses from 20mm to 300mm, or a 18-55mm or 18-70mm lens is fine.
  • Memory cards and extra batteries.
  • Extra rolls of ISO 200 or 400 film.
