Dina Thornberry Flynn is an award-winning photographer. She is equally as passionate about teaching the art of photography to others as she is about composing and shooting her own photographs.
A graduate of the New York Institute of Photography, Dina received the academy’s Merit Award the highest honor they bestow on a student. She also won the NYI Centennial Photo Challenge and was published internationally in “Top 100 Photos.”
When the cherry blossoms are in full bloom Dina enjoys making regular pilgrimages to Washington, DC to study under David Luria and Melanie Otto. She has also attended workshops taught by Bambi Cantrell, Rick Sammon, Bryan Peterson, John Greengo, Mark Wallace, Sandy Puc and her favorite married couple team of photographers: Nashville’s Zack and Jody Gray.
Dina is now entering her fifth year as part of the global phenomena: “Scott Kelby’s World Wide Photo Walk” she leads the Berea, Madison County chapter of this annual event.
Dina is a resident of Richmond, KY and her photos have been published in Kentucky Living Magazine and on the cover of various brochures, maps, and magazines that feature Madison County, Berea, and the City of Richmond.
Dina has experience in every type of photography including aerial, macro, weddings, underwater, portraiture, journalism and experimental photography. She has been the official event photographer for a vast array of gatherings including concerts, festivals, and music videos. While working in conjunction with record labels and film and television production companies, Dina has had the privilege of photographing many internationally known artists and celebrities.
Dina’s two favorite activities are macro photography and leading on-location photography workshops for children at her Madison County farm.
